The 5th Annual Ouray Soak & Shine Car Show
took place on Father's Day at one of the most beautiful places in the country.
The weather was sunny & warm as 21 vehicles drove up to the edge of the San Juan
Mountains for a fun time. (Rumors of bad road conditions due to chip-sealing of
nine miles of Hwy 550 south of Ridgway were somewhat exaggerated, but helped to
keep the number of participants down.) Pictured above is First Place winner
Chuck Llewellyn with his 1931 Ford Victoria.
Proceeds from the show
and the food sales benefitted the Ridgway High School Solar Car Team to help pay for
travel expenses when the team competes against other schools.
